Advantages of living walls and gardens on the roofs

- cool inside of buildings (concrete can heat up quickly during the summer months)

- more fresh air; need very little soil

- re-circulate water; may grow some fruits or vegetables on roof (tomatoes, pepper, beans)

Disadvantages

- bugs and unwanted insects

- odour of the soil; what may happen 

- may not work in the cold winter months or during rainy seasons
