 Math Probability homework

Now, there are three situations

The probability we will go back to school by the end of January is 11/12.

The probability Mr. Kwok will teach gym is 1/10.

The probability all the students will get two doses of the Pfizer vaccine is ¾

9b) Find the probability of each situation

9c) The sum of all these probabilities is

Grade 7 Science: Heat

Heat: warm, high temperature, heat is a form of energy

Different forms of energy: ultimate source of energy = Sun (heat, light =energy)

chlorophyll

Green plants convert sunlight into food and energy (photosynthesis)

Sunlight + water -------------- food for plants (sugar) + oxygen

Chlorophyll = green pigments in green plants (we don’t have chlorophyll)

We cannot make our own food (so are fish, mushroom, butterflies)

- animals in the farm eat the leftover food

- animals convert the food into potential energy PE (energy that is stored inside the body; or energy that has not been released yet)

- animals run around since they change PE into kinetic energy KE (movement) + sound + heat (body heat)

- farmers work in the farm. They convert PE into KE, sound and heat

- farmers become HUNGRY (need to eat because PE level is reduced)

- farmers have pork chop lunch (PE in food is being absorbed by the body, convert into PE in farmers so they can do more work)

- think of how you behave after a Phy Ed class. You become very hungry at lunch and can eat a big meal

- farmer is exhausted. Need a nap. Zzzzzz. Do we use energy when we sleep? (yes, snoring – sound, sleep talk, twist and turn when we sleep (KE), body heat)

- when do we stop using energy? When we die. . .
