 The Female Reproductive System

• -  The ovaries contain 1 - 2 million eggs before you were born → when your mother carried you in her womb

• -  During puberty, for girls from age 9 - during the menstrual cycle about 1,000 eggs die (per month)

• -  The girls can become a mother from age 12 (when they get their first period) - age 45 (maximum age for child bearing)

• -  Every month, the ovaries releases an egg through the fimbriae (baseball glove), and the eggs will come down the fallopian tube

• -  If the fimbriae misses (less than 1% chance) then the body will absorb it from the outside - also ok

• -  First sign of pregnancy - you miss your period since the body needs the blood for the baby to grow

• -  90% of the female reproductive system is inside the body

  - Gardasil → a cervical cancer vaccine - infected by the HPV virus in the cervix - 99% effective

  
  

  The Male Reproductive System

  • -  Unlike the females, the sperms are not produced until the male reaches puberty → around age 12

  • -  The sperm is produce in the testicals → healthy male has two outside the body since it needs to stay cool

  • -  The sperm will reach its maximum capacity when in a cooler area - that's why it is outside

  • -  The male shouldn’t wear tight jeans because the sperm will be closer to the body so it is hoer

  • -  You shouldn’t also wear sweatpants because the male get an erection

  • -  During the early stage of puberty the testis gets bigger

  • -  The term sperm - is a tadpole creature, it comes down and is stored in the

    seminal vesicle

  • -  In order to survive the prostate produces a sticky like substance to store the

    sperm

  • -  Professional bikers sit on their bike all day → causing the biker to lose a testicle

  • -  It is possible to pop the testicle

  • -  People wear a jock to cover the system so that it will not be damaged - also

    applicable to baseball

  • -  It is possible that you can become a father with only one testicle

  • -  During puberty some of the male tend to be more aggressive - it is VERY

    common → same thing with dogs

  • -  When you neuter a dog you cut of the testicles

  • -  The tissue in the penis is like a sponge - it absorbs the liquid

  • -  Best advice for girls: kick the guys in the balls for self defence → hurts a lot

  • -  If you drink a lot of water the urine is stored in the bladder you feel puffed up

    because the empty cavity if fille

  • -  Some people have prostate cancer - affects 1 out 11 males in Canada → the

    males cannot pee

  • -  They have to have a tube so that they can pee
