Conjunctions

Conjunctions are used to join words and phrases.  They can also be used to join two or more simple sentences
e.g.       My mother is kind but strict.
            Would you like a hot drink or a cold one ?
            He studied hard so that he could do well in the test.

Combine the following simple sentences with conjunctions.  You may want to consider the following conjunctions when completing this exercise.

but, or, and, than, for, yet, either. . . or, neither. . . nor, although, so that, because, if, since, useless, until, when

a) She was very tired.  She took a rest.

She was very tired so she took a rest.

b) Kenny is tall.  Henry is tall too.

Part B Fill in the blanks with suitable conjunctions.
