Conunction, Passive Voice and PEE essay

Pick one natural wonder of the world and learn to PEE

The Northern lights, known for its breathtaking, majestical sea of colors, undoubtedly seize its place in the podium as one of the most astonishing  7 natural wonders of the world. However, since the lights are a sight of a natural phenomenon, this miracle is not guaranteed to be spotted with certainty, referring to the long hours of waiting, and conclusions drawn with disappointing outcomes. In fact, relating to its unpredictability, there are several locations to visit while hunting down the lights, ranging from Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and even Canada! All distanced near the Arctic and Antarctic Circles, within the Norwegian Arctic. Out of all these possible destinations, I picked Tosmo, a small town located in Norway. To experience the unique lifestyle within the frigid, cold land, at the same time to take the opportunity of trying Reindeer meat, whale steak, or even seal meat!

Could you even imagine sleeping in   a room completely constructed with ice and snow? Taking a rest in a room operated by the ice hotel feels as if arriving at Elsa’s ice castle. With exquisitely designed and sculpted snow figures by your side, as well as the thermal protection and reindeer blanket, the hotel provides you a warm and comfortable stay. Be mesmerized by the waves of shades, soaring across the limitless sky while enjoying your relaxation time in the hotel. The icehotel provides the most excellent view, perfect to capture and become captivated by the awe-inspiring sight. As the long duration of waiting passes by, we tilt our heads and gaze towards the sky, and see the fascinating colors slowly becoming detectable, as if dancing in a perfect and coordinated rhythm with the stars. While the  numerous waves of shades collide and blend with each other, it could be described as fuming fire spreading freely in the wide open sky. The strong, vibrant colors create great juxtaposition, making an utterly majestic, yet unique color palette. With the sublime amalgamation of blue, purple, green, at the same time getting the glimpse of pink, yellow, or even the hints of red. (if you're lucky) The Northern lights are just like a river of spirits, lost in the midnight blue.

The aurora Boriealis not only blows people's minds, and calms our souls, it also  inspires and exists as  the fundamentals of numerous stories as well as cultures. Despite/within the various ideas from different ethnic groups all have one thing in common. The Northern lights are a spiritual representation, their guide of life, and most importantly the symbol of hope, and faith.

Find an everyday item and you will explain orally why that item is the best thing to buy for your mother during this Christmas season. (3 min presentation)

Must PEE, with conjunctions to explain

e.g. (point) This type of toilet paper is the best kind in the supermarket since it only costs $1 per roll with great absorbency (explanation). It is very important to use it after a big meal because your bladder cannot control what will come next. (example) Mr. Kwok would love the TDSB to stock this special brand in the staff washroom, as he eats an orange a day. Without it, it can get quite messy and difficult to clean afterwards. So, in order to prevent the uncontrollable embarrassment, purchase as many cases as possible while they last.

  • 2) Political environment and settlements

8C

- Transformational geometry test tomorrow. Bring Mira, pencil, ruler, stickey notes and eraser. Very long test

- Start writing the second paragraph of the PEE essay. Use as few personal pronouns as possible

- Are students spending too much time on their digital devices? Learn to write second paragraph (12 to 15 sentences, explain why with examples)

- look at this example about school uniform

In my opinion, school uniforms stand as a symbol of the school, and they include plenty of benefits for both the students and the school. First of all, it is effortless to identify students from school on special occasions, for example, during a school field trip, the chance of getting lost would decrease since a group of people wearing uniforms would stand out of the crowd, so it’s not difficult to follow the group where you belong. Furthermore, if the students are in a threatening situation, such as a time when one or more intruders had broken into the school, it will be straightforward to distinguish between the two to prevent health hazards. In conclusion, uniforms are a unique symbol of the school. It will remain all the memories from the previous time will remain with your friends and the marks you got on the math tests. Who wouldn’t want to keep a uniform as a souvenir for your lovely childhood?

- In order to/ In addition

In order to stay healthy, it is important to exercise, eat nutritious food and avoid vaping at all costs.

  • Sight: a sheet of fluffy snow toppling me; felt like a thick cotton blanket that cocooned my body with a few tiny openings to spot the cloudless blue sky

  • Smell: the smell of dirt and rotting grass brushed off my face when the blanket of snow covered my head. It was not pleasant, similar to a spring field when the farmers just put in the manure right after seeding

  • Sound: my fellow classmates giggled loudly as I became immobile and concealed by the thick layer of slush. I could hear my own breathing, as well as the pumping sound of my heart furiously struggled to get the last breath of fresh air. I thought I could hear the cold sweat dripping down my forehead as this ridiculous continued

  • Touch: since I wriggled to free my soul in freezing cold, I could barely feel my feet, as the sub-zero water slowly sipped into my boots. The numbness soon shot up my spine and tinkled every inch of my body

  • Taste: although this appeared to be a fresh blanket of snow, for whatever reason when my sweat and snow were mixed together, my lips nibbled on a few salty icicles, as if it were sprinkled onto me intensionally,.
