- calculate the surface area of the six triangular prisms listed on March 7 blog.  In the net of a triangular prism, there are three rectangles, and two triangles.

For example
Width 8cm
Length 3cm
Height 15cm

Area of each rectangle (draw net) = 15cm x 8cm = 120cm2

Area of each triangle = 8 x 3 ÷ 2 = 12cm2

Surface area of triangular prism = area of three rectangles + area of two triangles
(120 x 3) + (12 x 2)
= 360 + 24
=384cm2
